Following her suspension from Barnard College for participating in anti-Israel rallies at Columbia University last week, Rep. Ilhan Omar's daughter, a Democrat from Minnesota, claims she has nowhere to go and nothing to eat.

Isra Hirsi was one of the over 100 persons detained and summoned for trespassing on Thursday during demonstrations at Columbia University. Just a few hours before, she announced that Barnard College had suspended her for "standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing a genocide."

The 21-year-old has spoken on the ban in further detail. She said that in addition to being unable to attend courses, she had been kicked out of her residence hall and prohibited from utilizing her food plan at the dining hall.

"I was a little anxious, wondering where I would sleep. How far will I travel? Not only that, but my whole s— gets mixed together at random. It is just awful," she said to Teen Vogue. "I have no idea when or if I will ever be able to return home."

After contacting college administration, the student said she did not get a response for 48 hours after the imposition of her suspension. Only then was she informed that she may pick up a premade meal bag.

According to the New York Post, Barnard College is one of four undergraduate colleges at Columbia with a distinct admissions procedure, curriculum, and budget in addition to a separate administration.
